U.S.-NAFTA Freight Movements Gain 8.5% in July, Led by Trucking

New U.S. Transportation Department figures show it totaled $101.1 billion, with increases in all five major transportation modes: air, vessel, pipeline, rail, and trucks. This is the fifth consecutive month with U.S.-NAFTA freight flows exceeding $100 billion.

More Than 10.5 Million Truck Crossings Into the U.S. in 2012

Border crossings into the U.S. from Canada and Mexico in 2012 included 10.7 million truck crossings, along with with personal vehicles entering the U.S. nearly 96 million times (33.1 million from Canada, and 62.7 million from Mexico.) The stats also include 320,000 buses and 37,000 trains.
