Duke Energy Tackles Truck Idling at N.C. Distribution Facility

Duke Energy will be heading a $320,000 project to install a total of 36 electric power outlets for heavy trucks at a distribution center for Merchants Distributors in Hickory, N.C.

Heavy-Duty Fleet Technology Expo Awards Announced

A new report from the North American Council for Freight Efficiency helps fleets choose the right idle reduction solution for their operation. NACFE examines the pros and cons of 19 separate technologies, and provides a tool to help fleets compare different solutions.

C.R. England Opens IdleAir Facility at Laredo, Texas, Terminal

C.R. England has opened a new IdleAir facility at its terminal at 8422 Amparan Road in Laredo, Texas. The 24-space IdleAir facility provides C.R. England drivers with in-cab services that provide heating and air conditioning, Internet connectivity, television, and 110-volt electrical, completely eliminating the need for idling.
