While there has been no official word from less-than-truckload carrier ABF Freight or its parent ArcBest Corp., it appears the company has plans for a move and expansion of one of its primary facilities.

Sections of Interstate 540 and Highway 71 in northwest Arkansas will be receiving a new Interstate highway designation soon, according to the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department.

Lane Kidd Leaving Arkansas Trucking Association

Lane Kidd

Lane Kidd and the Arkansas Trucking Association are going separate ways. Kidd, 60, served as president of the association for 22 years. He said he is leaving to focus on The Kidd Group, a public affairs and investment group he founded last year. He also will continue to manage the Trucking Alliance.
