The Class 4 truck market now dominated by low-cab forward trucks used primarily for urban delivery and landscaping jobs should grow 3 percent in 2014 and reach about 12,000 new vehicles registered for commercial use, ACT Research told Work Truck magazine.

Financial losses for XPO Logistics Inc. widened in the third quarter of the year despite it increasing total revenue more than 200% from the same time a year ago, following several acquisitions, but company officials insist they are headed toward profitability.
Bulk and chemical logistics provider Quality Distribution Inc. has reported a 9.7% increase in revenue in the third quarter of the year compared to a year ago while earning increased by an even wider margin.
