Walmart's WAVE concept truck made a splash at the Great Dane booth at the Mid-America Trucking Show last week, but it wasn't the first to come up with a streamlined concept truck designed around a single driver. Two years ago it was Freightliner's Revolution generating buzz at MATS, and we ran across this video about the thought and design behind it.

Excited about the technological innovations shown in the video. I would suspect that part of your ongoing development program would include real world applications. We are a "flatbed" company, (with over 40 years in trucking), that operates in a unique environment, servicing a wide variety of customer demands. We perform long haul, including heavy haul, regional and local routes that also includes log hauling. About half of our fleet are Freightliner's. If you would be interested in doing field testing of your new models I am certain I could interest my management team to discuss this with you further. Thank You Doug Sabin, Safety Director.

nothing like recycled ideas, when you can't think of anything original.
why not just dustoff the old GM Dreamliner from the 30's.
