MATS Pre-Show

Wednesday, March 25, the day before the Mid-America Trucking Show opened officially at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center in Louisville, Ky., the trucking press gathered for media day and the MATS Fleet Forum educated fleet and supplier attendees on topics such as the economy and autonomous trucks, while HDT honored its 2015 Truck Fleet Innovators.

The Show Floor of IAA In Germany

Upcoming Volvo partner Chinese Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles exhibited at IAA for the first time ever. On the floor were three main truck models covering medium and heavy trucks for long distance transport, medium distance transport and city transport.

The IAA Commercial Vehicles show is one of the world’s most important trade fairs for trucks, transport and logistics. The number of exhibitors increased by 9%, to 2,066 this year and there was a global reprsentation of exhibitors originating from 45 different countries. Our European Editor Sven-Erik Lindstrand was on the show floor, taking pictures of the sights in Hanover, Germany.

ATA Management Conference & Exhibition

Mid-America Trucking Show 2014, Day 3

Don't let anyone tell you that the classic-styled trucks are dead. Peterbilt's Model 389 drew crowds all weekend, as did Western Star and Kenworth with their long-nose models.

Saturday in Louisville, Ky., was windy, blustery and rainy -- great weather for an indoor trade show, not so good for those wanting to see the truck beauty competition outside. Inside it was warm and dry, and attendees got some valuable one-on-one face time with the hundreds of exhibitors.

Volvo shows off its VNL that's now available in Mexico with the I-Shift automated manual transmission.

GUADALAJARA, MEXICO -- At first glance the photos of this trucking show may look a lot like what you will see at major events in the U.S. But look a little closer at the Spanish writing in the background and the pretty models. These photos were shot in Guadalajara, Mexico, during the nation’s largest truck and bus show, Expo Transporte, which opened Nov. 20.
