Summit Truck Group has entered into a strategic partnership with Fontaine Fifth Wheel that would position Fontaine as the preferred vendor for fifth wheels for all new, stock units ordered by Summit.
As a priority customer of Fontaine, Summit will receive prioritized parts and service support, along with training for Summit’s dealership technicians and technicians employed by Summit’s end customers. For Fontaine, this partnership will expand their sales footprint into the areas in which Summit operates.
“Fontaine has a strong reputation for providing a high level of customer service,” said Steve Dupuis, Summit chief operating officer. “They take care of their customers the way we strive to take care of ours — by fixing the customers’ vehicles and getting them back out on the road as quickly as possible.”
Both Summit and Fontaine have a long history in the commercial truck industry — Fontaine Fifth Wheel is celebrating its 75th Anniversary this year, and Summit Truck Group traces its roots back over 40 years. Fontaine also has a long-term relationship with Navistar, the company that manufactures International trucks, which is the primary truck brand that Summit represents at their dealership locations.
