J.B. Poindexter & Co. Inc., parent company of Morgan Olson, is buying Reading Truck Body, which makes service and other bodies.

Reading Truck Body includes Reading Truck Body LLC, which has a manufacturing plant in Reading, Pa., as well as five company-owned installation facilities operating as Reading Equipment & Distribution LLC. It will operate as an independent business unit within JBPCO, led by current CEO Brian Nadel and his management team.

"We are excited to join the JBPCO family and share the benefits of being part of a larger organization with or valued customers, employees, and partners," Nadel said.

JBPCO is a privately held company that makes commercial truck and van bodies and step vans for the likes of Ryder, Penske, UPS and Fedex through subsidiaries such as Morgan Olson. It also makes funeral coaches, limousines, pickup truck bed enclosures and tonneau covers, precision machined components, and expandable foam plastics.
