Suspension manufacturer, Reyco Granning, has named a new president after it was announced that current president Dave Compton is retiring on Sept. 30, 2015.

John W. Stuart is replacing Compton as company president effective Oct. 1, 2015. Compton will stay on-board with the company as a consultant through the end of the year to ensure a smooth leadership transition.

“Dave will be missed,” said Greg Purse, Reyco Granning board chairman. “In his tenure as president of Reyco Granning he has provided the business with strong leadership, team building and direction since the business was acquired in 2011.”

Stuart was previously the vice president of engineering for Reyco and has 25 years of experience in the heavy-duty transportation industry. Stuart held several senior leadership positions at other prominent companies including Hendrickson and Navistar.

“We chose John to succeed Dave based upon his experience and knowledge of the business and industry and his vision for the company and its future,” said Purse.  “With his strong ability to add structure and accountability to a mature engineering driven business, his focus on change and innovation, and his overall business acumen, we feel that he is the face of the future of Reyco Granning and we are excited for what he brings to the company.”

Reyco Granning is a suspension manufacturer that designs and builds air-, steel-spring and auxiliary-suspensions for truck, trailer and specialty vehicle OEMs.
