International Truck has started production on WorkStar vocational trucks equipped with the Cummins ISB6.7 engine. Both the WorkStar and DuraStar are available with the engine as an option.

The ISB6.7 engine rounds out the WorkStar’s powertrain options, which also include Navistar’s 9.3L and 12L offerings. The ISB6.7 is rated up to 325 horsepower and 750 lb.-ft. of torque and features flexible horsepower and torque ratings. The higher power ratings are specifically for fire and emergency applications.

The WorkStar with the ISB6.7 engine is available with manual, Eaton automated manual and Allison automatic transmission offerings.

"Production of the WorkStar with Cummins ISB6.7 is an important milestone in meeting the needs of vocational customers by providing a comprehensive offering of proven components," said Jeff Sass, Navistar senior vice president of North America truck sales and marketing.
