Frost & Sullivan Names Cummins Best HD Engine Supplier

Cummins received the 2014 United States Overall Best Heavy-Duty Truck Engines Product Leadership Award from Frost & Sullivan.

The award was based on a survey Frost & Sullivan conducted of U.S. heavy-duty fleet, safety and service managers. In the survey the majority said Cummins was the best truck engine brand for their fleets.

Participants in the survey said a key reason for the award was the broad range of diesel and natural gas engines available to heavy-duty customers. The survey highlighted Cummins leadership in engine technology related to fuel efficiency, performance and reliability.

Cummins customer support was also acknowledged by survey participants as a key driving force for their brand preference.

“It is hardly surprising that an overwhelming majority of respondents select Cummins as the top heavy-duty truck engine supplier,” said Tonya Fowler, global director at Frost & Sullivan. “The company manufactures the most comprehensive range of diesel and natural gas engines that can be used for a wide array of medium and heavy-duty truck types and applications.”
