UPDATED -- Meritor appointed Jay Craig as president and chief operating officer, effective June 9.

Previously, he was senior vice president and president of Meritor's Commercial Truck & Industrial segment. Craig will continue to report directly to Ike Evans, chairman and CEO.

"Jay and I have worked closely together over the past year and share a common vision for the company's future. His commercial experience, in addition to his extensive financial background, makes him the ideal candidate for this position."

Before joining Meritor, he was president and CEO of General Motors Acceptance Corp.'s Commercial Finance organization from 2001 to 2006, and president and CEO of GMAC's Business Credit division until 2001. “Our business places high value on customer service through our field sales organization,” said Craig Frohock, vice president, aftermarket. “Mark bolsters our team of professionals who strategize, counsel and plan parts programs and training for customers every day.”
