Official numbers from this year’s Mid-America Trucking Show, held last week in Louisville at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center, was the biggest ever, according to show officials who called it "immensely successful."

Attendees representing all 50 U.S. states and 78 countries totaled 79,061. For reference there are 196 countries in the world today.

The number of exhibiting companies totaled 1,077, representing 43 states and 10 countries.

As usual the past several years, the show had more than a million square feet of exhibit space, 1.2 million to be precise.

Members of the press in attendance totaled 245, representing all three countries in North America, plus others from overseas.

Unofficially, this year marked one of the highest number of press conferences in recent memory, according to several reporters. There were more than 30 events last Tuesday evening through late Friday afternoon.

The 44th edition of Mid-America is set for March 26 through March 28, 2015.
