Dugless Estes Sr., a 56-year-old trucker from Sikeston, MO, received a 1998 Ford AeroMax 122 and an 11-day African safari as the grand prize winner in the 1997 Truck N Safari Sweepstakes.
The AeroMax is equipped with a 77-inch AeroLiner integrated sleeper, a Cummins M14 500-horsepower diesel engine, an Eaton 13-speed transmission and custom striping and identification by Kay Graphics and Ford Truck Design.
“I was familiar with the sweepstakes because I fuel at Flying J whenever I have the opportunity and I knew that I was entered automatically every time I used my Flying J Frequent Fueler card,” Estes said. “But I never paid that much attention. I figured guys like me never win things like that.”
