Anew fuel that combines soybean oil and diesel fuel is being tested to determine if the claims that it reduces emissions by up to 45% are true.
Called B-20, or Envirodiesel, the fuel was developed by Twin Rivers Technologies, Quincy, MA, and is being tested in buses in Texas, New Jersey and Massachusetts. The fuel is said to reduce soot by 45%, while decreasing the amount of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and sulfur dioxide emissions.
