The Association of Diesel Specialists has scheduled the Fall 2000 TechCert examinations for its program of voluntary certification for diesel technicians.
The TechCert exams are offered at more than 700 sites throughout the U.S., as well as at 11 test centers in Canada. Exams will be offered on November 9 and 16 in the following categories: Diesel Engine Theory & Operation, Distributor Fuel Injection, Inline Fuel Injection, Rail Fuel Injection, Turbochargers/Blowers, and Injectors/Unit Injectors.
A minimum of one year’s shop experience or completion of a technical school diesel course is required to register for the Diesel Engine Theory & Operation exam, with all others requiring a minimum of two year’s shop experience and successful completion of TC1 exam.
