Inland Kenworth has acquired Kenworth dealerships in Albuquerque and Farmington, NM, and will incorporate them into the Inland Group of truck and equipment dealerships based out of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.

The addition of the New Mexico stores will bring the Inland Group's dealerships to 22 locations, stretching from the Yukon Territory in Canada's North to California and Arizona in the South. It plans to open its 23rd store in Tucson, AZ, in December.
The Inland Group is a privately owned company, founded by Lloyd Parker as Parker Pacific Industrial Equipment in 1949 to sell agricultural equipment in the interior of British Columbia. A year later, Parker began selling war surplus trucks from the U.S. He acquired his first Kenworth truck franchise in 1957.
The company remains a family business, with the founder's son, Leigh N. Parker, as chief executive officer.
