Mexico's Consorcio Grupo Dina says it's hoping for a quick resolution to questions regarding its contract to build medium-duty trucks for Western Star.

Freightliner Corp. announced last week that it will buy Western Star. Freightliner President Jim Hebe said in a press conference that they hadn't made a decision regarding the Dina-made products but hoped to do so in the next few days.
While Dina said it wasn't in a position to make a formal statement, it quickly issued a press release stating that the 10-year contract remains in force "unless and until a different decision is taken."
The company also said it is confident that both Western Star and Freightliner "will act in good faith and that we shall collectively reach an agreement that is equitable for all parties."
