Hot topics such as the used truck glut, industry consolidation and how the Internet affects the truck sales process will no doubt be subjects of discussion during the American Truck Dealers annual meeting starting in San Antonio tomorrow.

The meeting will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The keynote speaker is Volvo Trucks North America President and CEO Marc Gustafson. Other speakers will include political satirist Mark Russell and economist Jeffrey Rosenweig, with banquet entertainment by Roy Clark.
There will be workshops on specialized business topics, such as the latest regulations, working better with your manufacturer, how to attract and retain employees, and improving customer service.
Dealers will attend franchise meetings with the manufacturers they represent and can peruse more than 45,000 square feet of displays.
In addition, International plans to announce its first-ever Dealer of the Year: Duane Kyrisch, dealer principal at Longhorn International, Austin, TX.
