Canadian Teamsters began a job action at Overnite Transportation Company's eight terminals in Canada yesterday.

The Teamsters Canada Freight Division has informed customers of Overnite Transportation that the company has been strike bound for the past six months, and that freight service maybe interrupted if they are using Overnite Transportation Company.
The unfair labor practice strike against less-than-truckload carrier Overnite Transportation, a subsidiary of Union Pacific, began six months ago, on Oct. 24, 1999. It started in Memphis, TN and quickly spread to 140 Overnite terminals in 39 states.
