Overnite and the Teamsters are talking again. Following negotiations March 7 and 8, a Teamsters negotiating team will review the carrier's Health, Welfare and Pension proposals then go back to the bargaining table March 23 and 24 and April 4-6.

"Overnite appears to be bringing a new attitude to the table," the union said. "While it is impossible to know what is motivating Overnite, it is refreshing that its attitude has changed."
Overnite workers were on Capital Hill this week meeting with key Congressional members and Senators to discuss the ongoing labor situation. They were also passing out copies of the National Labor Relations Board's November, 1999, decision against Overnite and discussing "the alarming recurrence of labor law violations at Overnite over the years," the union said.
