FleetPride, Deerfield, IL, the nation's largest independent distributor of heavy-duty truck parts, today announced the formation of an e-commerce business initiative.

David Seewack, former Vice President and General Manager of the FleetPride Western Region, has been named as President and CEO of the new venture effective Feb. 1.
FleetPride, which was formed in September 1999 through the merger of QDSP Holdings, Inc. and HDA Parts System, Inc., currently operates more than 170 locations.
Through its e-commerce initiative, FleetPride will explore and develop new business opportunities as well as new methods to service its current customer base.
"We recognize the opportunity for e-commerce to improve our current menu of services and to expand that offering in the marketplace," John Greisch, President and CEO of FleetPride said of the new business venture.
Seewack has more than 20 years experience in the heavy-duty aftermarket and was the former CEO of Associated Truck Parts before it was acquired by FleetPride in January 1999.
