Excel Logistics is now simply "Excel."
The change, says CEO Gerry Murphy, reflects that fact that the company's customers look to Excel for comprehensive supply chain solutions "way beyond the traditional 'logistics' areas of wraehousing and transportation."
The Columbus, OH-based company says it provides supply chain consultation and operations management expertise to one in three of the world's top 50 companies. Its manufacturing support solutions include subassembly, sequencing and supplier management. Post manufacturing solutions include packaging, managed transportation and distribution, and home delivery.
Excel has operations in over 700 locations throughout the Americas, Europe and Asia.
