The country music band Lonestar presented Western Star Trucks with a commemorative copy of its platinum album at the American Royal Rodeo in Kansas City, MO. The award recognizes Western Star's support and sponsorship of the band over the past year.

Through a sponsorship arrangement with Western Star, Eaton Corp., Caterpillar Inc., and Lubbock, TX, dealer Lubbock Truck Sales, Lonestar's equipment trailer is pulled by a Western Star Constellation 4964EX with a Cat 475 hp engine and Eaton Fuller 10-speed Autoshift transmission.
