The FBI says it will take over the investigation of the shooting of an Overnite Transportation driver if evidence points to Teamsters involvement.

On Dec. 1, William Wonder of Evansville, IN, was shot through the windshield of his truck outside of Memphis on I-240. He was listed in satisfactory condition Friday at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis after surgery for a gunshot wound to the stomach.
For now, the FBI is monitoring the Memphis Police Department's investigation. Three shots were fired, hitting the windshield and hood, and then Wonder's stomach.
Overnite says the shooting is the eighth involving an Overnite driver since Teamsters pickets went up Oct. 24. Only one driver was hit in the previous shootings and suffered minor injuries.
Overnite is offering a $1 million reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Wonder's shooting. The Teamsters union says its members had nothing to do with the incident.
