T-Chek Systems, Eden Prairie, MN, has launched a new Internet load-matching service in conjunction with the its parent company, the logistics firm C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc. Called e-Center, the new service offers loads from 8,600 shippers, according to T-Chek, and all listings are maintained in real time.
Loads posted on e-Center are removed as soon as they are taken, unlike other web services that still display loads long accounted for.
According to T-Chek, e-Center offers a second major advantage over other online matching services. Carriers need not be concerned about shippers' credit worthiness since all freight bills are paid by C.H. Robinson.
The e-Center service is free for a 180-day trial for carriers who enroll by December 1, 1999. After that, subscriptions will cost $200 a year. Interested carriers should call T-Chek vice president Joe Gurley at 877-544-2435 or e-mail him at gurljoe@tchek.com.
e-Center can be found at the T-Chek web site, www.tchek.com.
