Dana Corp.'s Spicer Heavy Systems Assembly Div. has qualified for ISO 14001 certification for environmental quality. The certification covers plants in Lancaster, PA, and Lugoff, SC. plus the division office in Wyomissing, PA. It recognizes Dana's compliance with all North American environmental laws and regulations a well as a commitment to improving environmental initiatives through environmentally processes and programs.
To win certification the Dana facilities created an Environmental Management System that enables the organization to establish and assess the effectiveness of procedures and conformance to a set environmental policy, the company said. The system measures program success through management reviews, employee awareness and training programs, recycling programs, and a facility communication campaign.
