Oct. 20 – After James P. Hoffa said he wouldn’t participate in a debate among candidates for the presidency of the Teamsters, a second candidate decided it wasn’t worth his time, and the event was canceled.
Tom Leedham, who is running on the theme of grassroots reform, said, “this election is between me and Hoffa.” The third candidate, John Metz, has yet to start a campaign. Ballots will be mailed Nov. 2.
