Mack Expands Granite MHD Series with Single-Rear-Axle 4x2

As a Class 7 truck, an MHD 4x2 avoids the 12% FET at buying time. This truck with a service body is one of two displayed in Mack’s booth at the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis.

Mack Trucks on Wednesday launched a single-rear-axle version of its Granite MHD (medium heavy duty) model, offering a Class 7 or Class 8 product for customers needing a lighter yet rugged work truck.

‘Frameworks’ Program Aims to Put Freightliner Closer to Upfitters

Close co-ordination between Cargotec and Freightliner eased the installation of a complex materials handling body with crane, forklift and tag axle on a 104SD chassis.

Freightliner Trucks on Wednesday introduced a “Frameworks” program for truck equipment manufacturers, with the aim of making upfitting easier and quicker.

Isuzu N-Series Named Work Truck’s 2013 Medium-Duty Truck of the Year

The N-Series from Isuzu Commercial Truck of America (ICTA) was named Work Truck Magazine’s 2013 Medium-Duty Truck of the Year at the 2013 NTEA Work Truck Show, held in Indianapolis March 6-8. Twelve vehicles were included in an online ballot and voted on by professional fleet managers.

Ford Expects Transit Vans to Help Keep Lead as Sales Continue Climbing

Cab-chassis and cutaway versions of the upcoming Transit full-size van will replace the E-series cutaway. E-series vans will continue in production for much of this decade.

Ford Commercial Truck believes its upcoming Transit full-size vans will help it keep its high market shares as sales continue their upward motion with the recovering economy.
