GM to Buy Small Cargo Vans from Nissan for U.S., Canada Markets

Chevy City Express will be based on Nissan’s NV200 compact van. It goes on sale in fall of 2014 as a 2015 model.

General Motors and Nissan announced today that they have signed an agreement for Nissan to produce a small cargo van that GM will sell in the United States and Canada. It will be called the City Express and be sold by Chevrolet dealers.

2014 Sprinter Van Gets Fresh Styling, Powertrain, Safety Features

Volker Morningweg, head of Mercedes-Benz Vans, presents the new M-B-badged Sprinter.

Mercedes-Benz executives picked Düsseldorf, Germany, the source of the Sprinter van, to present their extensively revised 2014 model for North America. It gets fresh styling, a new diesel and automatic transmission, and more accident-avoidance features.

Ford Expects Transit Vans to Help Keep Lead as Sales Continue Climbing

Cab-chassis and cutaway versions of the upcoming Transit full-size van will replace the E-series cutaway. E-series vans will continue in production for much of this decade.

Ford Commercial Truck believes its upcoming Transit full-size vans will help it keep its high market shares as sales continue their upward motion with the recovering economy.
