Federal Court Rules Against EPA in Navistar Engine Case

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has lost a fight with truck engine makers over an earlier decision allowing Navistar International to sell earlier models of its engines with exhaust gas recirculation technology, even though they did not meet federal emissions rules.

Trucking Industry Warns D.C. Diesel Registration Proposal Will Hurt City

A proposed ban on diesel-powered vehicles in the District of Columbia has drawn a strong response from a coalition of trucking industry groups. The coalition warned the D.C. Council that provisions in the recently introduced Sustainable D.C. Omnibus Act of 2013 would have “significantly harmful effects on the District’s economy and on the quality of life of District residents.”

Study: New Diesel Truck and Bus Engines Emissions Dramatically Cleaner Than Expected

A new study says the reduction in emissions in the newest clean-diesel engines has exceeded the amount required by law. The study by the Coordinating Research Council in cooperation with the Health Effects Institute highlights the low-emissions performance of the new generation of clean diesel technology manufactured starting in 2010.

The fall order season for trailers kicked off with an impressive 43% month-over-month net order gain. Total net orders were 24,900 units. Lubecore International Victorious in Trademark Case

Lubecore's EP-0 grease pump for parallel pneumatic automated lubrication systems. A court rejected claims that the pump’s shape and appearance violated trademark laws.

In a victory for Lubecore International, the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals has overturned a lower court’s ruling and lifted restrictions on Lubecore’s ability to freely market its complete line of automated lubrication systems for heavy trucks and off-highway equipment in the United States.
