XYpper Enters the Uber-for-Trucking Fray

Startup company XYpper is joining the increasingly crowded “Uber for trucking” online freight-matching field, officially launching its new app and web-based system for carriers and shippers.

After six years of development and an 18-month beta testing period, XYpper is now available to carriers, drivers and freight brokers. Like other Uber-like freight sharing services, XYpper connects truckers with available capacity and brokers with freight loads through an online technology. Brokers post their load information online though a web-based portal, and truckers are alerted via the app in real time.

XYpper says it collected feedback from truckers and brokers over four years of research and development before it launched the commercial version of its service.

In addition to matching truckers with brokers, the system includes tracking capabilities and automated document generation for truckers and brokers. XYpper also sends load offers while truckers are en route to minimize downtime. The app will also soon be able to provide truckers with each broker’s credit score and payment trend, providing more information for deciding to accept or reject loads based on broker reputation.
