Celadon Trucking's WageLock pay program and FleetWire mobile application are new initiatives aimed at improving the working lives of its drivers.
The WageLock program allows company drivers who meet the requirements to earn up to $1,000 per week, regardless of how many miles they drive. Qualifying for WageLock is easy, according to Celadon, and the better the driver’s status, the higher the payout. The program is set to begin on Nov. 1.

"We want to compensate our company drivers who do their jobs every day and pay them in situations where there's not freight available for them to get miles," said Matt Douglass, vice president of operations at Celadon. "Our WageLock program does just that."
On FleetWire, Celadon partnered with Pegasus TransTech to create a flexible mobile application designed to meet fleet-specific driver communication needs. FleetWire provides drivers with document scanning, load tendering and messaging. Through integration with Driver Portal, the app also gives drivers access to information such as company news, safety information, training tools and messages from the carrier.
Celadon’s load-tendering workflow will also allow drivers to manage workflow outside of the cab, including the ability to see pre-planned loads and the load they are currently dispatched on.
