Wabash National held its third annual event for active military members and veterans within the company’s workforce to honor their service to the country. Over 300 Wabash National associates were recognized.

The company presented a $5,000 donation to the Lafayette Armory and U.S. Army Reserve Center to support initiatives like the Family Readiness Group and Honor Flight Network. Guests and associates at the even made holiday cards for the American Red Cross’s Holiday Mail for Heroes program and assembled care packages.

“As a proud American company, Wabash National Corporation appreciates the sacrifices our military men and women, with the support of their families, make to protect our freedoms,” said Dick Giromini, president and CEO of Wabash.

The company houses a permanent installation at its Ehrlich Innovation Center called the Wall of Honor. The Wall of Honor recognizes all Wabash National associates who have served, or are currently serving in the military.

“We are honored to have nearly 300 military and veteran associates across the country, and we proudly pay tribute to them year-round on our Wall of Honor,” said Giromini.

Wabash works with veteran’s organizations to recruit soldiers returning from active duty. The skills gained through military experience are ideal for positions within the company that require leadership and strong interpersonal communication skills, says Wabash.
