SAN DIEGO – UrgentCareTravel’s DOT and medical services membership program offers drivers and their family members access to DOT physicals and other medical services at several truck stop locations. UrgentCareTravel announced the program at the ATA Management Conference and Exhibition in San Diego.

The program costs $40 per month for the primary member, $30 per month for additional family members over the age of 18, and $20 per month for additional family members under 18 and older than 18 months.

UrgentCareTravel members are allowed one free DOT physical per year and have access to $20 clinic visits and $10 medical consultative services with a physician or licensed nurse by phone.

Members will be offered affordable, convenient and comprehensive access to DOT physicals as well as broader medical services for those who are uninsured, underinsured or wanting to manage high insurance deductibles, says UrgentCareTravel.

“We developed a healthcare model that puts the driver in control of their health providing an affordable, convenient and comprehensive program,” said Siva Suresh, executive chairman of UrgentCareTravel. “Drivers can literally get their DOT physical and medical services while they fuel or during their required downtime.”

UrgentCareTravel’s services are located at Pilot Travel centers and Flying J Travel Plazas. There are currently locations in Knoxville, Tenn., and Oklahoma City, Okla., off of Interstate 40. A new location will be opening soon in Cartersville, Ga., by Interstate 75 and there are planned locations in Dallas, Texas, Waco, Texas, East St. Louis, Ill., and Carlisle, Pa.

UrgentCareTravel’s goal is to have 15 to 18 locations by the end of 2015. Their first location opened in May 2013.

The DOT and medical services membership program does not provide comprehensive health insurance and it is not a contract of insurance, says UrgentCareTravel.
