Landstar System opened its latest training and service center near the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex. The trucking and logistics company spent $6 million on the new Texas facility.

The 10-acre property offers classes on safety, business and load securement training, a truck-driving simulator, and onsite staff support for all of Landstar’s business capacity owners (Landstar's term for independent contractors who provide the company with transportation capacity under exclusive lease arrangements.)

The new site is expected to be the most-visited field location, surpassing the facility in Grand Prairie, Texas. The grand opening took place on July 10 and welcomed an estimated 100 BCOs.
