The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has set the time for a listening session it announced earlier for this year’s Mid-America Trucking Show, which is later this month.

On Friday, March 28 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 to 3:30 p.m., local time, agency officials with gather feedback on how to test the trucking knowledge of would-be carriers, brokers and freight forwarders. All comments will be transcribed and placed in the docket for FMCSA's consideration.

The hearing is the second of three in a series. The previous session was held in January at the American Bus Association's conference in Nashville, Tenn.

The Mid-America hearing will take place at the Kentucky Exposition Center, Room C-103, in Louisville, Ky. The event will also be webcast with information about it later being posted on the agency’s website, including how those who aren’t able to attend can participate.

A third hearing is set for Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance Workshop in Los Angeles on April 7 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. local time, at The Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites. It will also be webcast.

More details about what information the FMCSA is looking for in the listening sessions can be found in the Federal Register notice.
