Landair Transport, Greenville, Tenn., announced plans to give professional owner operators the opportunity to be a bigger part of its team. The company says it's offering these drivers competitive pay and an "unmatched" benefits package, with stable and dependable loads on a consistent basis.

Landair is a privately owned dry van carrier that operates primarily in the eastern half of the U.S. It provides truckload, dedicated and contract trucking services, commercial and contract warehousing, fulfillment, store stockroom management, transportation management and total supply chain solutions.

“We enjoy partnering with skilled professional owner-operators to help us grow,” says Joey Ballard, Landair’s recruiting director.

Landair says its owner-operators can expect to average 2,400-3,000 miles per week and earn up to $1.05 per mile, empty and loaded, as well as a current fuel surcharge.

To drive for Landair, owner operators must have at least one year of recent OTR driving experience and a good driving record. A hazmat certification is preferred.
