Navistar Extends Rebate Programs to Small Fleets, Owner-Operators

Navistar is offering a series of partnership rebate programs designed to make it easier for small fleets and owner operators to purchase new International trucks.

Members of participating organizations are eligible for rebates of up to $1,500 per truck. Depending on the program, members may receive the rebate directly or in the form of a prepaid debit card that can be used at more than 700 dealer locations across the country for parts and service purchases.

Industry organizations that International Truck currently partners with include, LandStar, Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association and TruckersB2B.

“The organizations we have partnered with provide valuable services to their members and serve as key industry advocates for owner-operators and small fleets,” said Michael Cerilli, Vice President, Marketing. “We understand that when it comes to managing total cost of ownership, every penny counts which is why we are committed to doing our part to help ensure the continued success of small fleets and owner operators.”

Program members may redeem the rebates on up to five International trucks. Eligible trucks include the ProStar+, LoneStar and the 9900i models.

    Questions pertaining to this story.

    What is considered a "small fleet"

    Are there Retroactive Rebates if trucks were purchased after the rebate program?

    Are rebates honored if the truck was purchased through a Corporate Discount Program?

    I purchased a used 2010 prostar pre with maxxforce 13 475 in the 4 months i have owned it its been in shop 2 months they still do not know whats wrong with it .The money i pay on pay i am losing serval thousand dollars of income because of this .The warranty helps but does not cover the lost of income

    Just quit a job, that went to Navistar. A brand new 2013. Was in the shop more than on the road. They have had problems with all the International's, they purchased. There shops do not have a clue on how to fix them. Can not make money while the truck is in the shop. And the dealers do not really care. Biggest pile of crap I have ever driven, and I have 25 years experience. Hate for an owner operator to buy one. He would file bankruptcy in 3 months.

    I currently own a 06 international,my previous tractor was a 99 international.the willingness of the international dealers to work on otr equipment is just about nill....i have been told numerous times by hop personnel that they are booked fo the day.... might want to look at other options

    I have 4 pro Stars with maxforce. Broke down all of the time. I am getting no help from anyone. Has anyone found anybody that is helping the little guy from International or Navistar. I bought 4 and they have about broke me. Now they can't get parts. 2 trucks sat 1 for 7 weeks another for 32 days out of Jan< Feb, Mar so far and we don't have it back yet.
