Norpass and Drivewyze say they'll work together to offer expanded bypass services to existing Norpass carriers.

Norpass is the North American Preclearance and Safety System that deploys mainline screening systems at weigh stations, allowing safe and legal trucks to bypass the scales. Drivewyze PreClear is a Web- and GPS-enabled bypass service that complements existing Norpass services and offers carriers bypass opportunities at an additional 111 sites in 12 states.

Norpass carriers will soon be able to access bypass services at additional sites using both traditional transponders and the Drivewyze Preclear service. Norpass carriers that subscribe to the Drivewyze Preclear bypass service will receive a discount.

Norpass has bypass services in Alaska, Connecticut, Idaho, New York, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington as well as British Columbia and Quebec in Canada.

Drivewyze PreClear is available in Connecticut, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia.

Additional states and provinces are also being implemented soon to both services as a result of this partnership.
