Gordon Trucking Inc., Pacific, Wash., has bought Buske Truck Lines, Edwardsville, Ill., increasing Gordon's fleet by 150 trucks and 375 trailers.

The sale price was not disclosed. In addition to Buske's trucks and trailers, Gordon also bought a 35,000-square-foot shop in Pontoon Beach, Ill. This will serve as Gordon Trucking's new maintenance, driver and operating center, adding capacity to its Midwest business already operating in Indianapolis and Green Bay, Wis.

This expansion will create additional truck-driving jobs throughout the Midwest with Gordon Trucking, which already employs 2,500 people nationwide.

Gordon Trucking is the 22nd largest truckload carrier in North America. Buske Lines was founded in 1923 and serves customers throughout the Midwest and Southeast.
