Dallas-based Greatwide Logistics Services, a national provider of non-asset-based transportation and third-party logistics services, has launched a new program to reward company drivers and owner-operators who reach certain safety milestones
. The Mileage Milestone Awards are presented to eligible drivers twice a year when they reach any of the following milestones with no accidents: 100,000; 250,000; 500,000; 1 million; 1.5 million; and 2 million safe miles.

The first drivers recently received their awards under this new program, including Robert Walker who has driven 2 million safe miles, eight drivers after driving 1.5 million safe miles, 37 drivers with 1 million safe miles, 199 drivers for driving 500,000 safe miles, 795 drivers after driving 250,000 safe miles and 1,159 drivers with 100,000 safe miles. Safe miles are considered those driven without preventable collisions.

"Operating safely is our commitment to the driving public and our first priority when we do our jobs, whether those jobs are on the road or behind the scenes," said John Simone, president and chief operating officer of Greatwide Logistics Services.

In addition to recognizing drivers, Greatwide also recognizes operating centers whose drivers collectively achieve the following safe mileage milestones: 2.5 million, 5 million, and 10 million safe miles.
