LTL carrier Roadway Express won first place in the Kansas 2000 Safety Awards.
Roadway Road Team members accepted the award on behalf of the company at the annual Kansas Motor Carriers Safety Banquet in April.
The state safety award recognizes the General Commodity Common Carriers Division (5 million to 10 million miles driven in the state). The qualification to win is the best accident frequency for a common carrier in miles traveled on Kansas highways.
