Dads from the Portland, Ore., area will get a chance to be a "Trucker for a Day" at a special Father’s Day event to benefit the Pacific Northwest Truck Museum.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 17, a crew of professional drivers will give 15 minute truck driving lessons to any adult who is 18 or over and who holds a valid Oregon driver’s license. Driving will be done on the grounds of the museum’s Brooks, Ore, facility. The fee per lesson is $10 for those who register early or $15 at the gate. Spectator admission and admission to the museum is free.
Sponsors include the Oregon Trucking Assn., Gresham Transfer, Interstate Heavy Hauling, HTR Truck Driving School, May Trucking, (Oregon) Pacific Western Truck Driving Academy, Steve Bernard Trucking, Van Dyke Trucking & Signmakers, and Walsh & Sons Trucking.
