The Hazardous Materials Advisory Council, an educational association that promotes regulatory compliance and safety in the transportation of hazardous materials/dangerous goods, is holding several conferences this fall.

"Managing Hazmat Compliance: Fact or Fiction" is the theme for the HMAC 2001 Annual Conference and Exhibition, set for Nov. 8-9 at the Inter-Continental Hotel in New Orleans.
The conference is preceded by a training course, HMT-600 European Road Transport of Dangerous Goods, Nov. 5-6. This training course covers the skills needed for U.S. industry to comply with the requirements of the European Road Conventions for shipments of dangerous goods when exporting to Europe.
Both the conference and training will be at the Hotel Inter-Continental New Orleans at 444 St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans. Call (504) 525-5566 for more information.
HMAC will also hold committee meetings Nov. 7 and a Board of Directors meeting the morning of Nov. 8.
