Consolidated Freightways is expanding long-haul operations and capabilities throughout its Mexico division with $17.0 million in new construction and upgraded terminals on both sides of the border.

Within the next 90 days, 234 dock doors at three new U.S. terminals in Phoenix, Ariz., and Laredo and McAllen, Texas, will begin handling cross-border freight.
CF also plans to open a terminal in Mexico City mid-year on a 16-acre site at the northern entrance of Mexico's capital.
