Con-Way Southern Express, a regional less-than-truckload commercial freight carrier, recently announced the opening of a new 101-door freight assembly center in Chester, Va.

The company says the new facility will reduce transit times in 300 freight delivery lanes in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Florida and across more than 2 million five-digit ZIP code combinations.
CSE has closed its former Richmond, Va., operations. Employees from the closed facility will be working at the new Chester location, which is nearby.
Con-Way is a subsidiary of Palo Alto, Calif.-based CNF Inc.
