The Florida Commission on the Status of Women has named Ryder System one of the five most “Women-Friendly” employers in the state of Florida.
The employers were selected on the basis of responses to a statewide survey distributed to more than 2,000 companies and personal interviews with women employed at those companies. Criteria included external recruitment, leadership and career development, advancement, work/family balance programs and pay equity.
“At Ryder, we are in the process of introducing a nationwide flex-time policy, have added women and minorities to the senior management ranks and we continue to support our active women and minority network associations,” said Thomas E. McKinnon, executive vice president of human resources and Administration.
