The second qualifying event in the Stars & Stripes Show Truck Series will be held starting tomorrow and running through Saturday at the Iowa 80 Truckstop, I-80 Exit 284, in Walcott, Iowa.

$20,000 in cash and prizes will be handed out to the winners at the qualifying show. The top three bobtail and the top three combo winners will compete for the $30,000 top prize and the Truck-Lite trophy at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Ky., in March.
The Stars & Stripes Show Truck Series is put on by Newport Communications and the National Association of Show Trucks, and sponsored by Chevron. The first qualifying show was held last month in conjunction with Newport's Truckerfest at The Alamo travel plaza in Reno, Nev.
The qualifying show schedule has been finalized; there will be five shows, for a total of 30 top winners competing at the finals at Mid-America.
The three remaining qualifying shows will be held at the following locations:
* Sept. 22-24: Jubitz Truck Stop, I-5 Exit 307, Portland, Ore.
* Oct. 6-8: Diamond J's Truck & Auto Stop, I-80, Exit 15, Brookville, Penn.
* Oct. 27-29: Rip Griffin Truck/Travel Center, I-20 exit 503, Terrell, TX (Dallas area).
