This year's Southern Trucking Expo in Atlanta will be shortened to two days from the previous three, being held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 20-21.

The fourth annual expo will be held again at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park, Ga., where last year it attracted more than 8,000 attendees.
Independent Trade Show Management President Roger Sherrard said the change was made after listening to feedback from attendees.
"Our research indicated that attendance among fleets and owner-operators was actually heaviest on the last two days of the show," Sherrard said. "And most importantly, the majority of fleets we contacted preferred the two-day format because it only affected one workday instead of two."
Although the show is dropping a day, there are plans to add a country music concert. Independent Trade Show Management will also hold a Show & Shine Truck Beauty Contest in the parking lot at the expo center.
